Just finished our first major RV trip from Florida to Oregon and learned SO much the hard way. Here’s what I wish someone had told us: 1) Always check your tire pressure – we had a blowout in Texas that could have been avoided. 2) Don’t trust GPS for RV routes – got stuck under a low bridge in Louisiana! 3) Book campgrounds WAY in advance during peak season. We ended up sleeping in a Walmart parking lot more nights than I care to admit. Despite the challenges, it was the adventure of a lifetime. The sunsets in New Mexico were incredible, and meeting fellow RVers along the way made every mistake worth it. Already planning our next trip!
